When establishing a generalized accounting of working hours, the total duration of overtime for a four-day, five-day and six-day working week should not exceed twelve hours per month and one hundred and twenty hours per year.
Since July 1 of this year, a four-day working week has been introduced in Kazakhstan. This was reported by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic.
It is noted that the five-day and four-day working week alternate by agreement between the employer and the employee.
"Since July 1, the introduced work procedure has been in effect by agreement of the parties. Any company can set this procedure if the production process allows. We cannot make this rule mandatory," the representative of the Ministry Shalkar Orazbekov commented on the change.
According to the report, the Labor Code provides for a balance of interests of the parties. The state provides a minimum guarantee. The rest is decided within the framework of collective labor relations.
It is assumed that the four-day regime will not affect the work leave, seniority.
Sunday is a day off. The second or third day off is regulated by a collective agreement or labor rules.
