Under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a video conference is being held to discuss the organization of the spring planting season as part of the "Yashil Makan" project and the improvement of waste management. This was announced by the press secretary of the head of state, Sherzod Asadov.
The President of Uzbekistan noted that the activities of deputy governors of regions and districts responsible for construction, communal, and environmental affairs, as well as leaders in the ministries and departments system, have been reviewed, and 28 of them have been subject to disciplinary action.
In particular, deputy governors of Kasbiy, Karshi, Bakhmal, and Torakurgan districts were dismissed, while reprimands were issued to deputy khokims of these districts and deputy governors of 6 regions. Other leaders have also been held accountable. Trial periods have been set for all heads of environmental management.
