OTS intends to attract football players from the Turkic states to Besiktas

The secretariat of the OTS held a meeting with the leadership of the Turkish football club "Besiktas". The parties discussed issues of strengthening ties between them and developing sports cooperation.
Today in Istanbul, a meeting was held between the Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Mirvokhid Azimov and the Deputy Chairman of the Besiktas Football Club of Turkey Emre Kocadag. This was reported in the press service of the OTS.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of strengthening ties between them and developing sports cooperation, in particular, football cooperation between the Turkic countries.
They also noted with satisfaction that according to the new regulation of the Turkish Football Federation on the status of legionnaires, a football player who is a citizen of one of the Turkic states will not be considered a legionnaire or a foreigner in Turkey.
Deputy Secretary General of the OTS Mirvokhid Azimov and Deputy Chairman of Besiktas FC Emre Kocadag stressed that the above will contribute to even greater rapprochement and solidarity of the Turkic peoples, and will also serve as a vivid example for other countries.
Following the meeting, the parties also discussed the issues of attracting young and promising football players from the Turkic states to the Besiktas FC.
