Pentagon counted how much Russia spent on special operations

According to a Pentagon spokesman, Russia has probably spent up to $211bn on the military operation in Ukraine. The data on Russia's spending on the special operation were not officially disclosed.

According to a senior US military official, the Pentagon claims that Russia has spent this amount to finance the equipping, deployment and maintenance of its military operations in Ukraine.

In addition, according to the Pentagon spokeswoman, the conflict with Ukraine has resulted in a loss of economic growth for Russia in the amount of $1.3 trillion. This means lost economic benefits until 2026.

President Vladimir Putin noted that Western countries continue their strategy of containing Russia and their interests in Ukraine despite significant losses of the Ukrainian army. Moscow, for its part, is not going to give up its goals within the framework of the military operation.
