On February 3, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the report on major transport projects aimed at modernizing the road network and developing the country's logistics infrastructure.

Particular attention was paid to the construction of the alternative high-speed line "Tashkent - Andijan" with a length of 314 km. The implementation of the project with the support of the World Bank will reduce the travel time between cities from 5 to 3 hours, increase GDP by 2.6% and reduce the number of traffic accidents by 40%. Leading foreign companies have already shown interest in the international tender for the road construction.

Plans to create a dry port in Navoi region together with AD Ports Group were also discussed. The President instructed the Transport Ministry to build alternative highways, improve the quality of roads and introduce new convenient services for drivers.
