President Announces New "From Poverty to Prosperity" Program

During a meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the development of the construction industry and materials production, the President emphasized the importance of reducing poverty and improving the population’s well-being.

President Announces New "From Poverty to Prosperity" Program
Following two major documents recently signed by the President, the new "From Poverty to Prosperity" program is being launched. The program aims to lift 500,000 people out of poverty this year and an additional 1 million next year.

To implement this initiative, the Ministry of Employment will undergo significant changes. As part of these reforms, Botir Zohidov has been appointed Minister of Poverty Reduction and Employment. The Mahallabay Agency will be dissolved, with its responsibilities transferred to the Ministry.

Additionally, the President highlighted the need to fully utilize opportunities in the area of external labor migration. The External Labor Migration Agency will now report directly to the Government, with Behzod Musayev appointed as its head.
