Presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan Arrive in Samarkand

On April 3, 2025, the Presidents of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Kyrgyzstan, Sadir Japarov, and Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, arrived in Samarkand to participate in the "Central Asia – European Union" first summit. Under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the summit will focus on discussions about expanding cooperation between Central Asia and the European Union.

The high-ranking guests were greeted by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, and other officials at the Samarkand airport. This summit is considered a significant event aimed at strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between Central Asia and the European Union.

According to their visit program, the Presidents of Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan left for their next official meetings after the summit. The summit will also focus on developing bilateral relations, ensuring regional security, and maintaining stability.

Organized on the initiative of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, this summit will address proposals for expanding economic cooperation between the states, implementing new projects, and collaborating in the fight against climate change.
