Presidents of Uzbekistan and Mongolia meet with business leaders from both countries

The presidents of Uzbekistan and Mongolia held a meeting with representatives of the business communities of both countries, as reported by the Uzbek leader's press service.
The event was attended by leaders of leading Mongolian companies such as MCS Investment, Mongol Basalt, Tavan Bogd Group, Asia Pharma, Khanbogd Cashmere, Erdenezoo Trans, ICT Group, ORDGEO, LBH Technology, NCD Group, Mega Wood, Modern Nomads, and many others.
Representing Uzbekistan were private companies including Basalt Uzbekistan, BMB Holding, New Way Industries, Panaev Farms, Ezel Central Asia, Azia Metall Prof, "Jizzakh Jun", Procab, and others.
This format of meetings aimed at strengthening business ties between the communities is being conducted with the Mongolian side for the first time.
"We emphasized that we have barely tapped into the existing potential and opportunities. In this regard, we set a task to increase mutual trade volumes by tens of times in the coming years, primarily through expanding the range and volumes of mutual deliveries of demanded products," noted the head of Uzbekistan.
The focus is on exporting foodstuffs, fertilizers, medicines, household appliances, plastics and rubber, construction materials, ready-made textiles and footwear to Mongolia, as well as increasing exports of meat and meat products, leather, wool, and other finished products in the opposite direction.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev assured representatives of Mongolian business circles of Uzbekistan's readiness to create necessary conditions for comfortable activities in the country.
In turn, President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh of Mongolia highly appreciated the agreements reached and the conditions created in Uzbekistan for investors and entrepreneurs, urging business representatives to actively engage and achieve specific agreements on new projects.
During the discussions, Mongolian business representatives highly praised the practical significance of reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan, which are creating a favourable investment and business climate in the country.
