Qatar and Uzbekistan intend to deepen cooperation in the sports sphere

Vice-President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and the Qatar Olympic Committee, Thani Bin Abdulrahman Al Kuwari, paid a working visit to Tashkent. One of the main goals of his visit to Tashkent is to strengthen close cooperation in the field of sports between Uzbekistan and Qatar.
These days, the Vice-President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and the Qatar Olympic Committee, Thani Bin Abdulrahman Al Kuwari, is on a working visit to Tashkent.
At first, topics on the development of the sports sphere were discussed with the high-ranking guest at the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports. He was met by Minister Adham Ikramov and Vice-President of the OCA Otabek Umarov.
The organized meeting was devoted to the further strengthening of friendly ties between the two sides. The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Uzbekistan Hassan Hamza Hashim, Deputy Minister Shahrullo Mahmudov and Deputy Chairman of the NOC Azizjon Kamilov.
Otabek Umarov put forward his proposals to study Qatar's experience in preparing for the Asian Youth Games "Tashkent-2025" and other major international competitions.
In turn, the Qatari side emphasized that Uzbek sport has a strong school, especially in martial arts, where domestic athletes are world leaders. The guests also expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with the Uzbek side.
