Regulations on the Production of Ethyl Alcohol and Alcoholic Products Established

The production of alcoholic beverages using food-grade and technical ethyl alcohol produced abroad is prohibited.
On January 29, the Government Decree No. 45 was adopted, approving the "Regulations on the Accounting and Control of the Production, Bottling, Storage, and Wholesale Sale of Food-Grade and Technical Ethyl Alcohol, as well as Alcoholic Products". According to the document, the regulations include:
accounting for the production of food-grade and technical ethyl alcohol, as well as alcoholic beverages;
monitoring the storage, transportation, and wholesale sale of alcohol and spirits;
regulating the production, bottling, storage, and distribution of alcoholic products.
These regulations apply to:
Legal entities that are residents of Uzbekistan engaged in the production of food-grade and technical ethyl alcohol, as well as alcoholic beverages;
Products covered under the technical regulations for ethyl alcohol and alcoholic drinks.
It is prohibited to produce alcoholic beverages using imported food-grade and technical ethyl alcohol.
Manufacturers of alcoholic products must comply with technical regulatory standards, conducting microbiological, physicochemical, and technological control at all stages of production.
The accounting of ethyl alcohol and alcoholic beverage production must cover the entire process, from raw material intake to storage and final distribution of the finished products.
