Only goalkeepers - Peter Shilton (1,375 matches), Paul Bestock (1,286), Rogerio Seni (1,237) and Fabio Lopez (1,212) - have played more matches in professional football than Ronaldo.
Ronaldo is a five-time Ballon d'Or winner and five-time Champions League winner, as well as a European champion and Nations League winner.
