Russia Conducts Underwater Hypersonic Missile Tests

Military leaders from Russia and the United States discussed the situation in Ukraine over a phone call. During the conversation, it was mentioned that Russia had conducted underwater hypersonic missile tests.
Chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov and Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff General Charles Brown held a telephone conversation to discuss issues related to the war and security in Ukraine.
According to ABC News, the call was initiated by the Russian side. Joint Chiefs spokesperson Jeryl Dorsey stated, “The military leaders discussed a range of important international and regional security issues, including the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.”
During the conversation, Gerasimov and Brown exchanged views on how to avoid miscalculations and prevent further escalation of the conflict.
ABC reported that Valery Gerasimov warned Charles Brown about upcoming tests of hypersonic missiles from Russian warships in the Mediterranean Sea.
These missile tests were confirmed by the Russian Ministry of Defense on December 3 and took place in the eastern Mediterranean.
