Russian oil bases are losing 600,000 barrels of refined oil per day

Recent drone attacks from Ukraine have knocked out about 600,000 barrels of Russian refining capacity per day, Torbjorn Tornqvist, director of Gunvor Group, an international energy trading company, estimated. This was reported by Bloomberg.
Over the past two weeks, the Russian oil industry has faced massive drone attacks. At least 8 refineries and oil depots have been documented to have been hit.
The strikes increased diesel futures for a fourth straight session while gasoline futures climbed for a sixth, according to Bloomberg.
Analysts at investment bank JPMorgan went even further in their estimates - they estimated that the attacks and the resulting refinery shutdowns could reduce the capacity of Russian oil refineries by 900,000 barrels per day.
Gunvor was a major seller of Russian oil before Russia's invasion of Ukraine, but severed ties with its partners in spring 2022.
