Saudi Arabia Plans to Recruit 20,000 Workers from Uzbekistan
Saudi Arabia is considering the recruitment of no fewer than 20,000 labor migrants from Uzbekistan. The plans were discussed during a meeting between Uzbekistan’s Minister of Employment and Poverty Reduction, Botir Zakhidov, and Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Yusuf bin Saleh Al-Utaybi.

During the talks, the sides reviewed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of labor migration, as well as measures to ensure organized and safe employment of Uzbek citizens in Saudi Arabia.

Special attention was paid to the potential establishment of joint training centers aimed at preparing specialists in key professions in line with the requirements of the Saudi labor market. Such centers are expected to improve workers’ qualifications and facilitate their adaptation to working conditions abroad.
