Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in New York, where he will take part in meetings of the UN Security Council on the development of the East and Ukraine.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the strikes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Donetsk will be discussed for UN security purposes.
According to a TASS correspondent, the minister’s plane flew from Moscow to the United States along the northern route in 12 hours and 45 minutes over unfriendly countries. There were no unforeseen circumstances during the flight.
