Sharp Rise in Propane Prices: What Will the Prosecutor General Say About This?!

A member of the Adolat SDP faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis has submitted parliamentary inquiries to the Ministry of Energy, the Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Rights Protection, and the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The recent doubling of propane prices at fueling stations has sparked significant public outrage. Rising economic needs and the potential for increased production costs of essential consumer goods have heightened concerns. In response, the deputy put forward the following demands:
Ensure transparency in the pricing and cost formation of propane to prevent illegal actions and market monopolization.
Provide clear explanations to the public regarding the situation and openly communicate future plans.
Implement a stable pricing policy in the fuel and energy sector.
The price increase not only provokes consumer complaints but also leads to widespread social consequences, such as:
Higher prices for food and daily necessities;
Increased production costs for the private sector;
Worsened living conditions for low-income families.
The "Adolat" SDP expects prompt action from the government. The increase in propane prices has a serious impact on economic stability and the social living conditions of the population. The government must implement effective management mechanisms and take decisive steps to restore public trust.
