Shavkat Mirziyoyev expresses condolences to Vladimir Putin over terrorist attacks in Dagestan

On June 24, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his condolences to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in connection with the terrorist attacks in Dagestan. This was reported by the press secretary of the head of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Asadov.
"President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a telegram to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin with deep condolences regarding the terrorist acts in the cities of Derbent and Makhachkala, which resulted in numerous casualties among law enforcement officers and civilians. The leader of Uzbekistan strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Dagestan and expressed readiness to continue active cooperation between relevant structures in combating these challenges," wrote Sherzod Asadov.
On Sunday, armed attacks were carried out on two Orthodox churches, a synagogue, and a traffic police post in Derbent and Makhachkala. According to preliminary data, the terrorist attacks resulted in the deaths of a Russian Orthodox Church priest and police officers. Six law enforcers reportedly killed, 12 wounded.
A counter-terrorism operation regime has been introduced in the Republic of Dagestan.
