The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, outlined the priorities of the country's investment policy and the main directions of cooperation with foreign partners. This was reported by the press service of the head of Uzbekistan.
On May 2, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, participated in the plenary session of the third Tashkent International Investment Forum at the Congress Centre in the capital.
It is reported that decisions made and ongoing work on further liberalization of the economy, creating a favourable investment climate, and expanding opportunities for doing business were emphasized.
"Our main goal is to turn Uzbekistan into a reliable and long-term partner for foreign investors," said the President of Uzbekistan.
It is worth noting that the event was attended by the Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye, Cevdet Yılmaz, the Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore, Sia Kian Peng, the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Akilbek Japarov, the Minister of Energy of Saudi Arabia, Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Odile Renaud-Basso, the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Tatiana Molchan, the President of the OPEC Development Fund, Abdulhamid Al-Khalifa, and others. In total, over two and a half thousand foreign guests from 93 countries of the world arrived.
