The two heads of state discussed the issues of further development of Uzbekistan-Iran relations, expansion of practical cooperation in the fields of trade, investment and transport.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the newly elected President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, on July 17, the press service of the President reports.

Particular attention is paid to the implementation of previously reached high-level agreements.
The importance of promoting cooperation projects in energy, chemical industry, agriculture, food and other sectors was noted, and current issues on the regional agenda were also considered.
