Shavkat Mirziyoyev visits Plant Protection Agency

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Plant Protection Agency on 18 March, where a development plan for this sphere was presented. This was reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
The agency, which operates under the Ministry of Agriculture, focuses on analysing soil, fertilisers and products, controlling pests and ensuring the production of phytosanitary clean products.
In recent years, 7 new information systems have been introduced, 40 areas have been digitalised and $20 million of grant funds have been raised.
As part of new initiatives, the Agrokumakchi mobile application was developed, the Asiaexport.se platform was launched and cooperation in the international innovation system ePhyto solution was organised.
There are plans to increase agricultural exports to $3.5 billion, emphasising the importance of product packaging, systematic work and international cooperation.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev also emphasised the importance of improving the qualifications of specialists in this field and ensuring the availability of services to every farmer and owner of a homestead plot.
