The US has launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying South Korea's first spy satellite.
The US launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 25 spacecraft, including the first reconnaissance satellite for South Korea's armed forces. The event was broadcast by SpaceX.
It is reported that the rocket was launched from the Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
According to the company's statement, there are 25 satellites on board the mission.
The mission also includes a South Korean satellite, making it the country's first military intelligence satellite. It is equipped with infrared and electro-optical sensors. According to the publication, Seoul plans to put four more similar vehicles into orbit by 2025 with the help of SpaceX.
