The conference was chaired by the Speaker of the Parliament of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, and brought together key international participants: the Chairperson of the Senate of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbaeva, the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Tolia Exon, the Secretary General, Martin Chungong, and representatives of the parliaments of the Non-Aligned Movement member states.

The forum's theme - "The 70th Anniversary of the Bandung Spirit: The Role of Parliaments in Supporting its Principles" - reflected the desire to strengthen respect, equality, and cooperation between states. Uzbekistan reaffirmed its commitment to the fundamental principles of non-interference, non-violence, and respect for the territorial integrity of the countries.

Senate Chairperson T. Norbayeva emphasized that in the context of geopolitical instability, climate challenges, and global crises, it is necessary to expand parliamentary cooperation. Joint initiatives, the creation of committees, and participation in international forums strengthen trust between countries and contribute to the adoption of coordinated decisions at the global level.

The Tashkent Declaration adopted at the end of the conference enshrines the aspiration for open dialogue and peaceful cooperation as the foundation of future international policy.
