In 2024, foreign companies providing electronic services in Uzbekistan paid a record 115.8 billion som in taxes, which is 1.6 times higher than the previous year. The major contributors to this sum are tech giants like Meta, Google, and Apple.

According to the State Tax Committee (STC), nearly 100% of the total taxes paid came from the 10 largest foreign companies. Meta paid 41.7 billion som, Google paid 29 billion som, and Apple paid 27.3 billion som. Other major taxpayers include Amazon (4.1 billion som), Booking.com (3.6 billion som), and Netflix (1.4 billion som).

It should be noted that since 2020, foreign companies offering electronic services to individuals in Uzbekistan are required to pay VAT. These companies must submit tax reports no later than the 20th of the month following the reporting quarter, in accordance with the country's Tax Code.
