In these days, our country seems to have turned into a huge festive square. In cities and villages, people joyfully welcome Navruz.
This spring, our country is blessed with abundant rains. Therefore, this year the main celebration of Navruz took place at the Humo Arena complex.
At the event, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, was present and delivered a congratulatory address to the people.
"I am delighted to sincerely congratulate you, the entire multi-ethnic people of Uzbekistan, on the long-awaited Navruz holiday," said the President.
The head of state noted that the philosophy of Navruz is deeply intertwined with our aspirations and practical endeavors.
Thanks to the prevailing atmosphere of friendship, harmony, and good neighbourliness in the country, Uzbekistan's authority is increasing on the international stage due to its peace-loving foreign policy.
Navruz, symbolising the rebirth of nature, resonates with youthfulness. In order to further inspire our youth towards good deeds, to empower them with strength and energy, this year has been declared in the country as the Year of Support for Youth and Business. A total of 36.5 trillion sums and 460 million dollars have been allocated towards achieving the goals set forth in this year's State Program. Overall, approximately 2 million citizens will receive support within the framework of all entrepreneurial programs this year.
The President noted the achievements of our youth in international subject Olympiads, cultural and art festivals, in the field of information technology and sports, wishing them success in their future endeavors and competitions.
