The construction progress of the new residential complex reviewed
As was mentioned by the Head of our state in his Address to the Oliy Majlis and the people, this year 8,1 million square meters of multi-apartment buildings were constructed and are being launched. Overall, over the past nine years 210 million square meters of residential and non-residential facilities have been commissioned.

The major residential construction is also ongoing in New Tashkent. At the first stage it’s planned to develop a modern infrastructure for 600 thousand residents. By the final completion of the project, New Tashkent will be transformed into a major metropolis capable of accommodating 2 million people.

The first step in ensuring the housing needs will become “Sharq bahori” complex. This is one of the largest projects of residential construction in our region – the territory covering 95 hectares will house multi-story buildings for almost 15 thousand apartments.

Currently over 1 million 800 thousand square meters of construction works have been completed. Modern materials of “A+” energy efficiency category are being used.

It’s also planned to develop a green zone for planting over 15 thousand trees and shrubs on the territory. Independent heating and cooling systems will be installed, the roofs will be fully covered with solar panels.

Underground parking will be organized for parking personal vehicles of residents. A park, metro station, administrative buildings and public facilities will be organized within 5-10 minute distance from the complex.

While visiting one of the completed apartments and getting acquainted with the conditions, the President underlined that New Tashkent should become a standard and a workshop for the whole country in the construction of convenient housing for the population.
