The European Parliament announced a resolution permit against the President of Venezuela
World
The document is devoted to the recent elections in Venezuela, according to which the arrest of President Nicolás Maduro was ordered.
The relevant document was supported by 309 members of parliament, 201 were against it, and 12 abstained.
The reason for the arrest is not Nicolas Maduro's, but AP opposition leader Edmundo Gonzalez's eligibility for the presidency.
Members of the European Parliament are calling on regional players and the international community to put pressure on the Maduro regime and recognize González as a legitimate and democratically elected president.
Let us remind you that presidential elections were held in Venezuela at the end of July this year. The current head of state Nicholas Murdo got 51.2 percent, and the opposition candidate Edmundo Gonzalez got 44 percent.
Although the opposition party was not dissatisfied with the official results, the European Union refused to recognize Madurono as the legitimate president.
