The museum, founded in 1998, is built in the traditional Islamic style. Its dome and interior decoration were partially executed by Uzbek craftsmen. Among the exhibits are Quran manuscripts, jewelry, models of historical structures, weapons, ceramics, and numismatic rarities.

Around 200 artifacts related to Uzbekistan are of particular interest: medieval manuscripts, Eastern Renaissance ceramics, famous ikat fabrics, and traditional jewelry.

President Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of cultural cooperation between the countries, proposing to organize joint exhibitions and scientific research to further reveal Uzbekistan's rich historical heritage on a global scale.
