The First Small-Scale Children's Home Opened in Tashkent
Uzbekistan
A new children’s home has been launched in Tashkent’s Mirzo Ulugbek district as a branch of Children’s Home No. 30, organized on an experimental basis. This project aims to create conditions resembling a family environment for children deprived of parental care.
Currently, 7 children aged 2 to 4, including 4 children with disabilities, have been placed in the small-scale children’s home. They are cared for by 3 educators and 2 assistant caregivers. In the future, the children will be enrolled in regular kindergartens and schools for further development and adaptation.
This initiative represents a significant step toward improving the children’s home system in our country. The new model stands out by ensuring a personalized approach to the children, helping them adapt socially, and providing conditions close to a family setting.
The successful implementation of this project is expected to pave the way for the opening of similar children’s homes in other regions. During its development, the project’s organizers incorporated international practices and expert recommendations.
Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva, speaking on the launch of the project, stated:
"I am confident that this experience will lay the foundation for creating similar conditions for all children who are deprived of parental love and have not been adopted."
The new model is expected to provide children not only with comfortable conditions but also with an environment filled with care and affection. This will play a crucial role in their successful integration into society and the development of their personalities in the future.
