The fourth meeting of the Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Working Council took place

As part of the Second Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Interregional Forum held in the city of Guba in the Republic of Azerbaijan, the 4th meeting of the Working Council took place. This was reported by the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.
The meeting was attended by the Acting Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Umid Pazilkhanov, the President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mamed Musaev, representatives of relevant ministries and departments, heads of sectoral associations such as "Uzavtosanoat", "Uzkimesanoat", "Uztokimachiliksanoat", "Uzsanoatqurilishmateriallari", as well as representatives of the business communities of both countries.
The main goal of the event was to strengthen bilateral relations between the business communities of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. The meeting discussed issues related to the development of trade-economic, investment, and regional cooperation between the two countries, as well as the improvement of trade in exported products.
Special attention was given to the consistent expansion of economic partnership in priority areas for both countries and the activation of mutual cooperation between business communities. Over the past years, the number of joint ventures has increased fivefold. More than 240 enterprises with Azerbaijani capital are operating in Uzbekistan. In Azerbaijan, joint ventures have been established for the production of passenger cars, textile and sericulture clusters, and in Uzbekistan for the production of gypsum board and jewellery.
As a result of the meeting, further joint actions were determined to identify new points of intersection of mutual interests between the two countries and to expand mutually beneficial investment cooperation.
