The Namangan State Technical University Will Be Established

On January 24 of this year, Presidential Decree No. PQ-23, "On the Establishment of the Namangan State Technical University," was adopted. According to the decree, the Namangan State Technical University will be created based on the merger of the Namangan Engineering-Technology Institute, the Namangan Engineering-Construction Institute, and the Namangan Textile Industry Institute.
The primary mission of the university is to train highly qualified specialists and scientific-pedagogical staff in engineering, construction, textile industry, information technologies and programming, production, processing, and service sectors, as well as to meet the region's demand for skilled personnel.
An Advanced Engineering School without a separate legal entity status will be established at the university.
Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, measures will be taken to:
Form a repository of graduation project and master’s thesis topics based on real challenges faced by employers;
Organize the defense of graduation projects and master’s theses at the premises of the employer enterprises and organizations.
By the 2026/2027 academic year, at least two undergraduate programs and three master’s specializations of the university will be accredited by internationally recognized organizations.
From 2025, large industrial enterprises will be affiliated with the university as industrial partners.
All students currently studying at the Namangan Engineering-Technology Institute, the Namangan Engineering-Construction Institute, and the Namangan Textile Industry Institute will continue their education at the university. Starting from the 2024/2025 academic year, graduates will receive diplomas issued by the university in accordance with the established procedure.
