Ceremonial send-off for Uzbekistan's delegation to the Paris 2024 summer olympics held

Today, July 2, a ceremonial send-off event for Uzbekistan's delegation, which will participate in the Summer Olympics, took place at the Olympic and Paralympic Glory Museum in the capital, according to the press secretary of the PM of Uzbekistan, Bekzod Khidoyatov.
The event was attended by the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, and other officials.
At the event, it was noted that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan has created all the necessary conditions for comprehensive preparation and successful participation of Uzbek athletes in the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games and XVII Paralympic Games, which will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11 this year. Additionally, it was announced that Shavkat Mirziyoyev will support Uzbek athletes throughout the tournament.
It was also highlighted that, for the first time in the country's history, Uzbekistan's football team has secured a spot in the Olympic Games.
During the event, the flag bearers of Uzbekistan's delegation to the Olympics — boxer Abdumalik Khalokov and fencer Zaynab Dayibekova — were presented with the national flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
