President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the "New Uzbekistan" park and laid a wreath at the Independence Monument - a symbol of the freedom, history, and aspirations of the Uzbek people.
On August 29, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the “New Uzbekistan” Park and laid a wreath at the Monument of Independence.
The monument reflects key milestones of the nation’s history from ancient times to the present, as well as images of great scholars and rulers. At its peak rises the Humo bird — a symbol of Uzbekistan’s state emblem, embodying the noble aspirations and values of the people.
The Head of State emphasized that the monument was erected in honor of the Motherland and as a tribute to the courage, diligence, and peace-loving spirit of the Uzbek people.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Legislative Chamber and Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the Presidential Administration, the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as members of the Tashkent public.
