Uzbekistan
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the operations of the private multidisciplinary medical center "Global International Hospital" in the Sergeli district.
Priority areas of state policy include protecting public health and improving the quality and accessibility of medical services. To this end, investment is being attracted to the healthcare sector and support is being provided for the development of the private sector.
This modern medical center provides a wide range of in-demand medical services to the public.
$30 million was invested in the center's construction. It can serve more than 150,000 residents annually. The facility, which occupies an area of 0.5 hectares, plans to increase its annual service volume to 15 billion soums.
The President was given a presentation on the medical center's operations. He inspected the conditions created in the surgical, intensive care, and treatment departments, as well as the situation center.
The project has created 250 new jobs. More than 10 highly qualified specialists have completed advanced training abroad, and foreign doctors are also working there.
The center is equipped with modern British, Italian, and German medical equipment. Specifically, it features cutting-edge medical technologies from Philips.
The head of state emphasized the importance of transforming the center into a basic medical facility in specific areas. Responsible officials were instructed to build on the advanced experience accumulated here to organize advanced training for doctors and expand the population's access to modern medical services.
A discussion was also held with the medical center's staff. Particular attention was paid to supporting specialists working in the field, increasing the number of private medical organizations, and providing high-quality, modern, and effective medical services to the public.
"Along with providing high-quality and reliable services to every patient, it is essential to harmoniously combine medical and tourism services. This area should be widely promoted, international experience should be studied, and the hotel infrastructure at hospitals should be developed," the head of state said.
