President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Syrdarya branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care.
The center is treating those injured in the gas cylinder explosion that occurred two days ago at a food service establishment in the city of Gulistan.
The center's management and doctors briefed the President on the patients' condition and the progress of their treatment. The President entered the wards where citizens with injuries of varying severity are being treated, inquired about their well-being, and spoke with their family members.
The President instructed responsible officials to strictly oversee the provision of all necessary medical care to the victims. Expressing his condolences to the families of the victims, he emphasized the need for financial support.
Competent authorities have been tasked with thoroughly investigating the causes of the incident, ensuring the rule of law, taking measures to prevent similar incidents in the future, and strengthening oversight of compliance with fire safety regulations.
