The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan Attended the Launch Ceremony for New Projects

Following the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon attended the launch ceremony for major cooperation projects.
The heads of state launched 10 joint projects.
These projects include the creation of furniture and leather goods manufacturing plants, the expansion of household appliance production, the construction of textile facilities in Tajikistan, the construction of a residential complex and retail facilities in Tashkent, and the launch of canned goods production in the Fergana Region.
Furthermore, dairy production facilities were launched in the Andijan Region, and fruit juice and metal briquettes in the Surkhandarya Region.
A ceremony was also held to name a street in New Tashkent after the city of Dushanbe.
The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan expressed confidence that the implementation of these projects will provide a powerful impetus to the further expansion of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
