The Prosecutor’s Office will "personally" monitor the installation of solar panels and water heaters
Uzbekistan
In Uzbekistan, it is planned that by 2025, at least 40% of the electricity consumed by the population, small businesses, and social sector facilities will be covered by renewable energy sources. This was announced by Deputy Prosecutor General Shokhrukh Aminov in an interview with the “Uzbekistan 24” TV channel.
According to Aminov, for this purpose, solar batteries and water heaters will be installed at these facilities. This, in turn, will lead to a reduction in production costs. The Prosecutor's Office emphasized that it will carry out this task "without question." The Deputy Prosecutor General added that last year, the General Prosecutor's Office and regional authorities "gained experience in carrying out such orders."
In December of last year, raids were conducted in Tashkent city to combat the irrational use of electricity. Prosecutors drew up administrative reports against entrepreneurs, warning them of possible fines and disconnection from the power grid. Based on this experience, it was also reported that strict prosecutor oversight will be established over the execution of the President’s orders.
