Republic Day is celebrated in Turkey every year on 29 October. This year Turkey widely celebrates the centenary of the proclamation of the Republic. The second issue of Bright Uzbekistan magazine was dedicated to this very event.

On this significant day, 29 October 1923, the status of the state was confirmed as a republic and the official name of the country became “Türkiye Cumhuriyeti” (Turkish Republic). This was followed by a vote in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was elected as the first President of the Republic of Turkey.

These events will include exciting digital exhibitions and three-dimensional shows visualising the country's achievements over its 100 years of existence.
On 29 October, a spectacular visual show with drones and fireworks will take place over the Istanbul Strait.
Special light shows are planned at various historical locations, accompanied by the Turkish National Anthem.
Istanbul's Usküdar Square will host the Digital Experience Exhibition, launched on the initiative of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. It will showcase projects that have turned from dream to reality under his leadership over the past two decades. In addition, 360 viewing platforms with advanced digital technologies will be installed at the exhibition.
