The sale of Google smartphones is banned in Indonesia
World
According to the TechCrunch portal, the sale of Google Pixel smartphones has been banned due to non-compliance with the requirement that 40 percent of devices sold in Indonesia will be made from local components.
Solving this problem requires Google to invest in the local economy, manufacture components in Indonesia, or buy them from local suppliers. Samsung and Xiaomi have previously opened a factory in Indonesia to meet this demand.
This year, the sale of the iPhone 16 in the country was also banned due to non-fulfillment of investment obligations. Although the company opened four academies for software developers, the funds allocated were insufficient.
