The Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia will be held in Tashkent

On November 15-16, the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia will be held in Tashkent under the chairmanship of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The summit will be attended by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, Kakha Imnadze.
The agenda of the event includes issues of further strengthening regional cooperation in Central Asia, as well as the implementation of joint projects and initiatives in priority areas. An exchange of views on current regional and international policy issues will be held.
The Consultative Meeting is expected to result in the adoption of a substantial package of multilateral documents.
The initiative to hold regular consultative meetings of the region's heads of state was put forward by the leader of Uzbekistan at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly in September 2017.
During Uzbekistan's current chairmanship, over 20 major events have been held in this format, covering various areas of cooperation.
