According to the general's statement, it is necessary to increase the size of the army to 120,000 people within three years. This includes regular troops, reservists and the strategic reserve, which includes retired military personnel. Currently, the number of the army is estimated at about 73 thousand people, but the head of the general staff believes that this number is not enough to successfully participate in potential military conflicts, and therefore he insists on the need to ensure combat readiness of the population if necessary.

The exact number of citizens subject to mobilisation training is not specified, but earlier the British Armed Forces Minister, James Hippy, mentioned a figure of 500,000 people, including military personnel and civilians.

Sanders did not specify with which specific country there could be a potential conflict. Nevertheless, the publication notes that the British military is considering the possibility of a full-scale war, including the possibility of a conflict with Russia.
