The US threatened Russia with new tariffs
US President Donald Trump issued a harsh ultimatum to Moscow: if an agreement with Ukraine is not signed within the next 50 days, the US will double tariffs on Russian goods - up to 100%. This was stated by the head of the White House during a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

"I am extremely dissatisfied with Russia's actions. If they don't reach an agreement with Ukraine within 50 days - we will increase tariffs by 100 percent," Trump emphasized.

At the same meeting, he also announced a new defense initiative: the US will begin supplying Ukraine with high-precision weapons, with production going to be American and NATO countries taking on financing. The North Atlantic Alliance will coordinate the deliveries.
