To the winners of the 2026 "Pearl of the East" Akhal-Teke Horse World Championship

Uzbekistan

Dear friends, distinguished guests! I sincerely welcome all our compatriots and guests participating in the ceremony dedicated to the results of the international equestrian competition. We wholeheartedly congratulate the winners and runners-up of the competition, who demonstrated high skill, courage, and commitment to national traditions, and achieved outstanding results.

To the winners of the 2026 "Pearl of the East" Akhal-Teke Horse World Championship
It is deeply symbolic that today's celebration is taking place in the majestic and beautiful Ashgabat Park in the capital. It is significant not only for its unique architectural appearance, but also for being a vivid embodiment of the centuries-old friendship, good neighborliness, mutual trust, and shared spiritual roots of the Uzbek and Turkmen peoples.

The competitions between representatives of our countries held these days, and the solemn ceremony honoring the winners, will undoubtedly further strengthen our spiritual unity.

The peoples of Central Asia have long shown care and concern for horses, which symbolize freedom, strength, loyalty, fortitude, and beauty. It is especially noteworthy that our fraternal peoples, while honorably preserving this priceless heritage, have elevated the art of horsemanship to an even higher level.

Dear participants of the celebration!

Thanks to consistent reforms to develop equestrian sports on an international scale, implemented under the leadership of the esteemed President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Gurbangulyevich Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, my dear brother, Gurbanguly Myalikgulyevich Berdimuhamedov, the country is achieving tremendous success and strengthening its position on the international stage.

Turkmenistan's achievements in promoting a peaceful and constructive policy, fostering socioeconomic development, preserving national values, and enriching its cultural heritage are highly recognized by the international community.

Particularly noteworthy is the work to honorably continue the ancient traditions of Akhal-Teke horse breeding, popularize it, and enhance its reputation worldwide.

Today, Akhal-Teke horses are valued as the national pride of the Turkmen people and a unique gem of the cultural heritage of our entire region.

Spiritual and educational events, international conferences, scientific forums, and festive celebrations held this year under the motto "Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Purposeful Winged Steeds" further heighten interest in the art of equestrianism worldwide.

In the New Uzbekistan, preserving national values and passing on the unique traditions of our ancestors to future generations is a priority area of state policy. Extensive work is underway to develop national sports, popularize equestrianism, support horse breeding, and create modern infrastructure.

Skilled riders, experienced horse breeders, and dedicated specialists are making a worthy contribution to enhancing the reputation of national schools in this area and raising the younger generation to be goal-oriented, courageous, patriotic, and committed to a healthy lifestyle.

We will continue to make every effort to further expand cultural and humanitarian ties and strengthen the historical bonds of friendship between our countries.

I take this opportunity to once again sincerely congratulate the winners and runners-up of the competitions who achieved outstanding results.

I wish you all good health, happiness, and great success in your responsible and honorable work.

May the Uzbek-Turkmen friendship be eternal and strong!

Shavkat Mirziyoyev,

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan
