Tokayev awards Tanzila Narbaeva the Order of Friendship

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev awarded Tanzila Narbaeva, Chairwoman of the Senate of Uzbekistan’s Oliy Majlis, the “Dostyk” (Friendship) Order, 2nd degree, in recognition of her role in strengthening strategic partnership and friendship between the two nations.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for deepening the Kazakh-Uzbek strategic partnership and alliance, with special focus on parliamentary cooperation, trade, investment, and cultural-humanitarian ties.
Tokayev stressed that Narbaeva’s visit underscored the special character of relations between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, and praised her personal contribution to fostering good-neighborliness and trust.
For her part, Narbaeva thanked Tokayev for the warm welcome, conveyed greetings from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and assured that all agreements reached are under his personal control. She emphasized that both countries are close and reliable partners.
At the end of the meeting, Tokayev presented Narbaeva with the “Dostyk” Order as a recognition of her efforts in advancing bilateral strategic cooperation.
