It has been reported that Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in response to the escalation around Ukraine, has given urgent instructions to the Prime Minister, the head of the Presidential Administration, leaders of all law enforcement agencies, and governors to take immediate actions.
This was announced by Tokayev's press secretary, Berik Uali, on the evening of November 21st.
"The heads of Kazakhstan's parliamentary chambers have been informed of the measures being taken. The situation in the country is under the personal supervision of the President," said Berik Uali.
He also added that the country’s main strategic goal is to maintain stability, tranquility, legality, and order.
"Kazakhstan has repeatedly supported efforts to stop the military actions between the two Slavic nations through negotiations," said Tokayev's advisor.
