In the first half of 2025, Uzbekistan received almost 784 thousand foreign tourists - 48% more than a year ago. Russia, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan are leading in terms of arrivals, while China is among the far abroad countries.
From January to June 2025, Uzbekistan welcomed 783.7 thousand foreign visitors for tourism purposes — 255.1 thousand more than in the same period last year, marking a 48.3% increase, according to the National Statistics Committee.
Russia leads the ranking with 166.6 thousand arrivals (21.2%), followed by Turkmenistan — 123 thousand (15.7%) and Kazakhstan — 77.7 thousand (9.9%).
Other major sources of tourists include Kyrgyzstan — 71.6 thousand (9.1%), Tajikistan — 49.1 thousand (6.3%), China — 39.1 thousand (5%), Turkey — 29.3 thousand (3.7%), India — 22 thousand (2.8%), Italy — 18.6 thousand (2.4%), and South Korea — 14.9 thousand (1.9%).
Among European countries, Germany ranks highest with 14.7 thousand visitors. From the United States, 13.2 thousand tourists visited during this period, while another 143.9 thousand guests arrived from other countries.
