U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that after negotiations between the leaders of Russia and Ukraine, a trilateral summit will be held with Washington’s participation.

Trump said he had a “very good” meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders at the White House, where they discussed security guarantees for Ukraine and coordination with the United States.

Shortly after, Trump called Vladimir Putin, who agreed to begin preparations for a meeting with Zelensky. The date and location of the talks will be determined later.

“After the meeting between Putin and Zelensky, we will hold a trilateral summit,” Trump stated.

He added that Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff are coordinating efforts with Russia and Ukraine on this matter.
