Trump to Visit Paris for the Opening of the Historic Notre-Dame
Trump shared his plans to visit Paris on his Truth Social platform:

"It is a great honor for me to announce that on Saturday, I will be traveling to France, to Paris, to attend the opening of the magnificent historic Notre-Dame de Paris, which has been fully restored after the devastating fire five years ago.

President Emmanuel Macron did a wonderful job restoring the historic monument, even making it better than before. It will be a unique day for everyone!"

According to CNN, Trump and Macron closely collaborated during Trump's first presidential term, with their relationship described as friendly (CNN uses the term "bromance," referring to a close friendship between men), despite moments of open hostility between them.

Macron became the first foreign leader to publicly congratulate Trump on his victory in the 2024 elections on November 7. That same evening, they spoke on the phone.

It is expected that around 50 heads of state and government will attend the opening of the historic monument.

For reference: the fire at Notre-Dame occurred on April 15, 2019. As a result, the roof was burned, the 750-ton spire collapsed, and the famous gargoyles and organ were damaged. The restoration costs were estimated at one billion euros. Initially, the restoration was expected to take about 10 years.
