Modernization works at the Tupalang HPP have been completed

To ensure the stability of electricity production, the Tupalang HPP in the Sariasi district was modernized and equipped with modern technologies in the amount of 75 million 400 thousand euros. This is reported by the press service of the hokimiyat of Surkhandarya region.
It is noted that these days, when the last test work is underway, the hydroelectric power plant generates and transmits 64 MW of electricity to the network. This energy provides environmentally friendly electricity to more than 36,000 oasis farms.
When the tests are fully completed, the hydroelectric power plant will be launched at full capacity and will start generating 175 MW of electricity. It saves 126.2 million cubic meters of natural gas by transferring 467 million kWh of electricity per year to consumers.
