Turkey has allowed citizens of Turkic countries to work freely
World
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has signed a historic decree simplifying employment rules for citizens of Turkic countries. The document, published in the official gazette Resmî Gazete, has entered into force.
Under the new regulation, citizens of Turkic states can now work in Turkey — both in public institutions and private companies — and engage in crafts and professional activities on equal terms with Turkish citizens.
To obtain a work permit, applicants must hold a residence permit, pose no security threat, validate their diplomas, and prove affiliation with the Turkic community.
Experts describe this decision as a major step toward strengthening unity across the Turkic world and turning words of brotherhood into action.
