Solar power plants with a capacity of 750 MW for $ 700 million will be launched in two districts of the Jizzakh region, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said. A combined-cycle gas plant with a capacity of 450 MW will also be built there due to direct investments of the Turkish company in the amount of $ 350 million.
Today, on June 27, the presidential candidate from UzLiDeP Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with voters in the Jizzakh region as part of the election campaign, the press service of the party reported. During the meeting, the candidate spoke about plans to build two solar power plants and a combined-cycle gas plant:
"Stable electricity is necessary for the development of industry. In this regard, solar power plants with a total capacity of 750 MW worth $700 million will be launched in Farish and Gallaaral together with companies from China and the UAE," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
In addition, according to him, a modern combined-cycle gas plant with a capacity of 450 MW will be built in Sharaf-Rashidovsky district (in the center of the Jizzakh region) due to direct investments of the Turkish company in the amount of $ 350 million.
"4,500 kilometers of electrical networks and more than 1,100 transformers will also be updated," the candidate added.
